I am very proud and excited to announce that the Oude Leeskamer Guest House is now officially 1 month old! And what an exciting, varied and busy month its been! Amongst others we have:
- Had the pleasure of hosting international guests from France, the USA, Spain, New Zealand, the UK, Belgium, Australia, the Republic of Hout Bay and a selection of guests from across our own beautiful country. We now have our sights set on welcoming guests from Asia and South America to our boutique guest house in the heart of Stellenbosch.
- Experienced two instances of guests' lost/forgotten passports - but thankfully in both cases the passports were returned to their rightful owners in one piece and without causing any delays to any journeys.
- Had our blog read by past and future guests and friends in 11 countries.
- Been joined by a brilliant housekeeper! Hilda comes to us with loads of experience of working in various guest houses and game lodges, and bakes delicious beskuit (South African rusks).
- Become members of the Stellenbosch Tourism and Information Bureau, and attended our first networking events (at which I was lucky enough to be one of four winners to receive a great bottle of wine in a lucky draw!)
-Had many a glass of wine around Fred's bar with some of the wonderful people we have met over the last month. Thank you to each and every one of you for making this first month such a great experience!
